Buprenorphine & Naltrexone Induction

Induction is an important component of delievering medications to treat opioid medications to treat opioid use disorder.The training module for induction of buprenorphine and naltrexone in the outpatient office setting.

Medications such as buprenorphine are associated with the risk of misuse and diversion. Module training will provide strategies to reduce risk through thorough assessments, patient education,appropriate dosing and prescribing,and engaging in quality care practices.


Supporting Providers After Overdose Death

Although most patients with opioid use disorders stabilize with treatment high rates of morbidity and mortality are associated with opioid use disorders.Providers working with this patient population need to be prepared for patient overdose deaths so they can support themselves,other providers,and the patients family. Training course we offer will provide a framework to help providers cope with a patient overdose death.


Overview of Substance Use Disorders

Understanding addiction is essential to successfully addressing it. Training will provide education on the spectrum of use, neurobiological responses to substances, theories that explain the disorders, public health impact and epidemiology, comorbidity, and intergrated care for this chronic condition.


Integrating Opioid Use Disorder Treatment in Clinical Care

Module training for integrating opioid use disorder (OUD) pharmacotherapy into primary care settings, reviews keys to successful OUD pharmacotherapy implementationbin clinical practice,and identifies strategies for preventing diversion of buprenorphine/ naloxone.Participants are encourched to adapt this information for use in their own clinical practices.


Opioids for Pain : Understanding & Mitigating Risks

Training Module reviews risk for serious harms including overdose and opioid use disorder, reviews risk factors for opioid misuse,opioid use disorder, overdose in patients with chronic pain .Methods for screening and assessing for problematic opioid use, methods for mitgating risks associated with prescribed opioids, and details non- opioid treatment approaches for pain.


Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Trainings & Education

Behavioral Interventions for MAT( Improving Outcomes)

Understanding the three drugs approved by the FDA for the treatment of opioid dependence, buprenorphine,methadone, and naltrexone. All three have been demonstrated to be safe and effective in combination with counseling and psychosocial support. Education on how to Improve patient survival, increase retention in treatment, decrease illicite opiate use, and other criminal activity among people with substance use disorders, improve birth outcomes amoung who have substance use disorders and are pregnant.

Learn how these medications and therapies can contribute to lowering a persons risk of contracting HIV, AIDS, and Viral Hepatitis. Learn more about co-occurring disorders and other health conditions.


Naloxone (Narcan)

Medication used to block the effects of opioids. This is used to counter decreased breathing in opioid overdose. Naloxone may also be combined with an opioid (in the same pill), to decrease the risk of opioid misuse. Train on routes of administration, symptoms of opioid withdrawal ,co-prescription and recommended guidelines. Training includes certification on administrating Narcan nasal spray.
